How To Make Money in Red Dead Redemption 2
Let’s face it – making money and saving it isn’t EVER easy – not in real life, not in video games. Since not all games have handy cheats like ‘motherlode’ in the Sims, we have to find other ways to go from rags to riches. Red Dead Redemption 2 is no exception there.
In the early stages of the game you may find yourself strapped for cash a lot more than you’d like. As such, you’ll have to make money, of course. Thankfully there are several good ways of doing so.
Our favourite strategy are heists – they can give you a large cash injection all at once if you can manage them. Looting, hunting, fishing and the like will give you items that you can sell for money…but if that’s not quite your thing, you can try your hand at bounty hunting and gambling in poker as well.
More important than making money is keeping it, though. In other words, managing it well. The most important things you’ll be buying are of course ammo, medicine and tonics.
If your chosen method of money-making is illegal, make sure to always wear your mask – getting caught and snitched on to the sheriff won’t help your efforts at all.
Needless to say, there are also less valid ways of earning money. We mean exploiting glitches, of course. There have been several that were found by clever minds already – we can’t recommend you use them as there is always a risk that exploiting a glitch can have far-reaching effects later in the game, but if you DO want to use them…well, you may want to look up the ‘gold bar glitch’ – there are instructional videos all over YouTube explaining to how to get nearly unlimited gold bars.
You can sell them for cash and make several thousand dollars in very little time. You’ll be the old west equivalent of a millionaire with that much cash…but as we said, be careful. If down the line, the glitch affects your gameplay, all the cash in the world won’t be able to fix it for you.
