Jamie Lee Curtis’ Daughter’s Wedding Will Involve World Of Warcraft Cosplay

Renowned actress and Halloween star Jamie Lee Curtis recently announced that she would be officiating her daughter’s wedding in a World of Warcraft cosplay.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel, Curtis spoke about how her younger daughter Ruby Guest will be getting married in the actress’ backyard. But it won’t just be your typical wedding: it’s going to be a cosplay wedding.

Kimmel being the middle-aged guy he is, Curtis had to take some time to explain what cosplay actually is. He didn’t quite get the concept it seems, as he made a joke about Curtis dressing up as a raccoon. Though she did provide a witty response to Kimmel’s half-baked sarcasm by saying “I forgot, you’re a comedian.” But Kimmel’s joke didn’t stop Curtis from going into more details about what her daughter’s wedding would be like.

Curtis explained that Guest and her fiance picked out the actress’ cosplay, opting for Jaina Proudmore, a character from World of Warcraft. “Anybody here know what that is?” Curtis asked the audience. “It’s a game, I don’t know. She’s an admiral.

Curtis went on to say how she found her cosplay, searching on Etsy for it. In turn, she spoke with the producer of the costume, but the seamstress is based in Russia. So due to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine, it might not arrive in time.

Last year, Curtis and Guest spoke to People Magazine about the latter’s transition. “I’m a grateful student,” said Curtis at the time. “I’m learning so much from Ruby. The conversation is ongoing. But I want to know: How can I do this better?

Thankfully Curtis seems to be very supportive of Guest’s transition. “My mom has supported me all the way ever since I came out as trans,” Guest recently wrote on Twitter. “I love her so much. There are allies everywhere for the trans community. You just need to look for them.
