Jurassic World Evolution 2 has been announced! It may not shock you to know that Jurassic World Evolution 2 is the sequel to the 2018 Dino Park sim from Frontier Developments.
While the announcement trailer didn’t give us any gameplay, it did help set the tone of what we might expect when the game releases. Though the trailer did feature the soothing voice of the one and only, Jeff Goldblum. He even appeared on camera to announce it at Summer Game Fest.
Mr. Goldblum also featured in the 2018 game reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcom. He will be returning in Jurassic World Evolution 2 with Bryce Dallas Howard who played Claire Dearing in the franchise.
What’s new in Jurassic World Evolution 2?
Jurassic World Evolution 2 is set after the events of the 2018 movie, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The Dino Park sim sequel takes us to a new location said to be in “parks beyond the confines of the Muertes Archipelago.”
Each of the locations located in Muertes Archipelago will bring its own unique terrains, environments, and challenges. The sequel will also include four new game modes as well as “an enhanced and expanded roster of dinosaurs”.
In total there will be over 75 prehistoric species which includes more flying dinosaurs, and for the very first time in the series, marine creatures. Exciting!
Jurassic World Evolution 2 will release later this year for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Are you looking forward to the sequel? Let us know on social. You can also pick up the first game from the GameByte Shop by following the link or adding to cart below!
