Keanu Reeves Is In Talks To Join The Marvel Cinematic Universe

If you thought the Marvel Cinematic Universe was over then think again, because the next phase is gearing up to wow us all over again.

There’s a lot of mystery surrounding the next phase of the MCU, with a number of exciting projects confirmed.

What we do know, is that The Eternals are being brought into the franchise – a group of immortal beings who possess god-like abilities having been created by cosmic deities the Celestials.

Now rumours are growing that John Wick star and generally great human being, Keanu Reeves could be appearing in the upcoming movie.

Marvel Studios boss, Kevin Feige, has previously confirmed that work had already began on the film, as well as other projects.

Speaking with ComicBook, Feige suggested that it’s only a matter of finding the right role in the MCU for Reeves, and that there’s been regular talks about it happening.

“We have started working on what are the films post-phase 3,” Feige previously told TheWrap.

It seems the John Wick actor isn’t setting the bar low with his dream roles, as he’s recently revealed that he’d love to get his claws into Wolverine.

During a segment on BuzzFeed Celeb, the actor was asked which character he’d most like to play in the MCU or the DCU.

“When I was a kid, I always wanted to play Wolverine. So Wolverine.” He replied.

The iconic Keanu Reeves is the only celebrity people are talking about right now thanks to his appearance at E3 2019.

Showing up on stage in a surprise reveal to announce his role in CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, Reeves blew up the internet in the best way possible.

Speaking to BBC NewsBeat, Reeves gave a little information about the character he’s playing, saying: “I’m kind of a guide. You know, you have to do something, but Johnny wants you to do something too. There’s this…Am I your friend? Am I a foe? Am I really helping you? Am I not helping you? Are you in my way?”

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, April 16, 2020.
