Just before E3 kicked off, Square Enix finally gave us a set release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 and it will be releasing for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29th 2019, assuming that the game suffers no further delays.
While many had hoped that the game will perhaps release late this year, at least on the bright side, we have a newly confirmed release date with hopefully enough time to iron out any development issues the game might encounter between now and then. Director of Kingdom Hearts 3, Tetsuya Nomura had this to say on the release date announcement “”We’ve announced the release day for Kingdom Hearts 3 ahead of E3 at the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour. I’m sorry that we’re asking for a little more time than initially planned. Please look forward to other information, including a few trailers at E3. Thank you.”
Speaking of E3, during the Xbox conference, we got to see a brand new gameplay trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3. As well as showing-off our team of heroes, much of the trailer was featured in the Frozen universe and included the characters Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff. We also got further brief glimpses of the Toy Story, Wreck it Ralph and the Tangled universes and more. You can watch that very gameplay trailer in question below.
Once more, Kingdom Hearts 3 will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29th 2019. Are you content with this delay? Let us know across our social media channels.
