Kit Harington Slams ‘Horrific’ Game Of Thrones Scenes

Hopefully we’re all starting to come to terms with the final season of Game of Thrones, not Kit Harington though, he’s still particularly angry about one part of filming.

What is it that’s gotten the Jon Snow actor so wound up though?

That would be the toll riding Daenerys’ dragons took on his crotch throughout season eight.

“Emilia [Clarke] had been moaning about it for seasons, and I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever. You have not been through the mud in Northern Ireland. A buck in a nice warm room?’” he explained to The Hollywood Reporter.

“But she was absolutely right. It was horrific. It’s not acting at all. It is not acting, it never will be acting, and it is not what I’d signed up for. It is very uncomfortable as a man.”

Following the huge amounts of criticism directed at that final season, Harington had no time for the negativity.

Speaking to Esquire, the Jon Snow actor explained how he wasn’t paying attention to any negativity surrounding the show.

“How I feel about the show right now is quite defiant. I think no matter what anyone thinks about this season—and I don’t mean to sound mean about critics here—but whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their [negative] judgement on it, in my head they can go f*ck themselves. ‘Cause I know how much work was put into this.”

“I know how much people cared about this. I know how much pressure people put on themselves and I know how many sleepless nights working or otherwise people had on this show. Because they cared about it so much. Because they cared about the characters. Because they cared about the story. Because they cared about not letting people down.”

Harrington continued: “Now if people feel let down by it, I don’t give a f*ck—because everyone tried their hardest. That’s how I feel. In the end, no one’s bigger fans of the show than we are, and we’re kind of doing it for ourselves. That’s all we could do, really. And I was just happy we got to the end.”
