A recent promotion for Halo Infinite-branded Krispy Kreme doughnuts has seemingly revealed the game’s release date. The question is, how accurate is this tasty leak?

According to the Xbox Mexico Krispy Kreme advertisement, the company’s brand new Halo doughnut range is available from today, the 30th of July. However, the tasty advert also states that Halo Infinite is set to release in November [via TheGamer]:
“Why wait for November if we can start the festivities now? Xbox Mexico and @MexKrispyKreme We celebrate 20 years of the Master Chief with a special edition Halo Infinite donut. Available July”
So, how accurate is this release date information? Well, the Tweet was made by an official Xbox account. However, its information could be a digital slip of the tongue. It’s also worth mentioning that Halo Infinite was previously scheduled to release in November 2020. Therefore, the tweet could be based on old launch information.
That being said, Halo Infinite’s November release date isn’t that far fetched. While Microsoft hasn’t specified an exact release date, the company has said it’s aiming for a “Holiday” 2021 launch.
So, while Xbox Mexico’s release information could be based on assumption, it could also be coincidentally true. Although let’s be honest, it could also just be the actual release date. Maybe the marketing team was distracted by all this talk of tasty doughnuts.

Let’s hope this tasty advertisement is at least an indication that the game is still releasing this year. While Halo Infinite has had a somewhat bumpy development, it’ll hopefully also be Master Chief’s most impressive outing yet.
