Waluigi is the unsung hero of the Nintendo core characters, and I’m willing to fight about that (although he’s no Yoshi).
The Waluigi memes have been hot and fresh since…well, basically since forever, and almost everyone on the planet has been begging Nintendo to please add Waluigi to the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Nintendo has been pretty cheeky with its fan-requested characters in the game, teasing the likes of Banjo-Kazooie for months on end before finally revealing the duo at E3 2019.
Whether or not we’ll actually get Waluigi in Smash is s a big unknown – but a recent leak has now made its way to the internet.
The rumour comes from a Discord user by the name of Paragon, who accurately leaked the recent additions to the Smash roster, Dragon Quest‘s “Hero” and Banjo-Kazooie.
Paragon is now claiming that the next two fighters to be welcomed to the game will be Frisk from Undertale, followed by the one and only Waluigi.
A screenshot of the claim has made its way to Twitter, where one user writes: “Possible leak from before E3 that accurately predicted Nintendo’s E3.
“It suggests that for Smash DLC we might see an Undertale rep and actually see a playable Waluigi. This could very well be a miraculous fake, but we should also keep these ideas and possibilities in mind.”
It’s not clear whether the leak is real or not, but Paragon has asked people to play close attention to the end of the Banjo-Kazooie E3 reveal for proof of the Undertale fighter coming soon.
Once Twitter user took some comparative screenshots of what they believe Paragon might be referring to. Check it out below.
Could 2019 be the year we finally get Waluigi in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Only time will tell!
