Capcom has made no secret of milking the nostalgia cash cow, and a new leak suggests the next remake from the house of horror could be Dino Crisis.
Known video games leaker, AestheticGamer, has previously been correct regarding a number of Resident Evil leaks in the past, and their latest “news” is in a similar vein.
Taking to Twitter, the user shared some supposed insights into the future plans for Capcom, writing: “There also won’t be any Resident Evil remakes out in the next few years after RE3. There is a couple other Capcom games being rebooted in the same vein as RE2 & RE3 though in the RE Engine, which should be seen pretty soon..”
anytime soon.

There also won’t be any Resident Evil remakes out in the next few years after RE3. There is a couple other Capcom games being rebooted in the same vein as RE2 & RE3 though in the RE Engine, which should be seen pretty soon.
There is another Resident Evil game
Of course, this leak is unverified, so take it with a pinch of salt as always.
So why do we think this cryptic comment about future reboots is referring to the one and only Dino Crisis? Well, just last month it was revealed that Capcom has registered for a number of new trademarks, including the likes of “Dino Crisis” and “Darkstalkers.”
This also aligns with Capcom’s proposed ideas back in 2018.
During an investor meeting back in the summer of 2018, a representative for Capcom was asked what the company was planning for the future. Capcom responded: “Regarding remakes and rereleases of titles in our back catalog, we expect to explore these further with a variety of properties as a part of our strategy to utilize our library of IP.”
At the time, we speculated that this could refer to Dino Crisis – here’s hoping that a remake of the iconic horror is on the cards for the future.
