Rumours of an unannounced Xbox console have been rife for a while now, and it looks like it’s now all but confirmed thanks to some leaked packaging.
The news comes from Twitter user TinyRakan, who took to Twitter to share some images of what they claim is packaging for the next generation of Xbox game pads.
As spotted by VGC, the user accompanied the image with the following words [translated]: “The new Xbox Series X hand carton is leaked in white, with the confirmation of the arrival of the Xbox Series S, according to what is written behind the carton.”
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard this claims, as earlier this summer another user managed to snap a pic of what looks to be the very same controller.
In a now-deleted Reddit post, a user shared a snap of what appears to be a white Xbox controller, though clearly different from both the Xbox One version and the Xbox Series X.
The user has since gone on to delete their Reddit account, though they did say they snapped the pic during a party at a Microsoft employee’s home. The image was picked up by VGC before its deletion.

The user also spoke to The Verge where they said they had the chance to play on the console, which was also white, but “looked more squarish and the Xbox button looked bigger on it.” The UI reportedly looked similar to the Xbox One.
Combining this with the new images of the supposed controller box, it looks like we’re getting a next-gen version of the Xbox One S, a more budget-friendly model for those not looking for the most extreme gaming experience.

With leaks coming from every direction, it’s about time Xbox showed their hand – especially when it comes to its next-gen pricing!
