The beloved Turok series could be landing on a new platform if a recently-leaked PlayStation trophy list is anything to go by.
As always with rumours and leaks, take them with a pinch of salt until confirmed by the Powers That Be.

The story comes from Exophase [via PushSquare], where a new set of trophies supposedly reveal that the current-gen Turok game may finally be landing on the PS4. If this is true, we can probably expect a reveal sooner rather than later, what with next-generation gaming lying just around the corner.
The listing suggests that that the original 1997 Turok game, which first released on the Nintendo 64, is the one that’s getting a new release. It’s not all too clear whether the game will be a reboot or a remaster, but considering that a remaster has been available on Xbox One for two years now, that’s the horse I’m betting on.

There’s no Platinum Trophy on the list, though there’s still a fair chunk to keep you occupier while you wait for a brand-new Turok game (which, let’s face it, could be a while).
Trophies on the list include “Ancient Exterminator – Defeat the Mantis,” “Speedrunner – Complete the time trial mode in under 2:45,” and “Not Quite Mortal – Obtain maximum HP from collecting Mortal Wounds.”

There’s no word yet on when we might get to see the game get its official reveal, but lists like these generally don’t pop up out of nowhere. Though it’s still unconfirmed, a PS4 port is definitely looking likely in my opinion!
If Turok PS4 doesn’t happen, at least we can still play it on Steam and Xbox. The game’s official description reads as follows: “Turok is back and no dinosaur is safe! When it was first released in 1997, Turok introduced gamers to a world teeming with cunning enemies, traps, puzzles and deadly weapons all within a vast 3D environment ready to explore. Now the classic game has been restored and enhanced with a new visual engine and exciting new features to sink your teeth into!”
