A Twitter user and Modern Warfare fan is claiming to have discovered the next two guns coming to the game. MrJaRni recently took to social media to share the discovery and, if true, fans are going to be very happy.
As reported by CharlieIntel, the gamer has discovered references to the Crossbow and the ‘Vector’ SMG. Yesterday we reported that the Crossbow is being advertised on an in-game poster, but now it looks like the Vector SMG has been spied too.
Located in the recently-added Ground War map, Krovnik Farmland, the poster clearly shows a crossbow, adding fuel to the rumour that it’s going to be added into the game at some point.
What’s very interesting here is that some of MrJaRni’s tweets were removed due to a copyright claim, suggesting that the user has definitely hit the nail on the head with the leak.
In the same thread, the user also claims to have found other weapons within the game files: the Tar21 and a new LMG. These tweets are still live at the time of writing, so it’s unclear why Activision has taken action against some of the tweets but not all.
We know that Infinity Ward is planning for a lot of new content to come to the game in the future, but remember, finding evidence in the game files doesn’t mean it’ll definitively happen. Though there’s certainly a lot of people who want to see weapons like these in Modern Warfare!
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has a pretty exciting road ahead with lots of goodies and extras planned for the title. December will see the launch of the first Battle Pass and the first Season of battle, so expect a lot more add-ons in the future.
