Left 4 Dead Creators Show Off Concept Art For New Game, Back 4 Blood

The lovely folks at Turtle Rock Studios, the team behind the iconic Left 4 Dead, have just revealed a first look at their upcoming game, Back 4 Blood.

A piece of previously unreleased concept art was shared to the company’s official Twitter, accompanied with the words: “Getting to this 4th of July has been tough on all of us, so we wanted to give you a sneak peek and a bit of Hope.” Check it out below.

As you can see, the artwork shows off what appears to be an abandoned building in a remote and overgrown location. The word “HOPE” is splashed across the front of the exterior.

We might not know too much about Back 4 Blood at this stage, but if the concept art is anything to go by, we could be looking at the classic zombie shooter of our dreams.

Turtle Rock has previously described the game as a “next-gen cooperative FPS” where “you’ll be able to shoot up a lot of zombies like in Left 4 Dead,” but with “a whole lot of new stuff in Back 4 Blood which makes it unique.”

Back 4 Blood is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox One and PS4, along with next-gen consoles. There’s no release date as of yet.

In related news, fans are calling for a remastered version of Left 4 Dead on console. Created by Joshua Davis on Change.org, the petition asks for “Left 4 Dead Remastered on PS4 & Xbox One (With Mod Support).”

The Valve fan writes: “Why not remaster both Left 4 Dead games and make an all-in-one experience for new gen consoles, plus add both mod & custom map support.

“It’s something that hardcore Left 4 Dead fans would love to see and play to have fun & relive fond memories in a new way. There’s no way that it wouldn’t sell well and if anything it might show Valve that there’s still a huge market for Left 4 Dead 3 if they were to make it.”

The petition has over 3,000 signatures, but it’s likely that Turtle Rock is more focused on Back 4 Blood than Left 4 Dead.
