Life By You is the upcoming life-simulation game by Paradox that is set to rival The Sims. Here’s what we know about the game’s PC requirements.
News of the title’s PC requirements came after Paradox’s general manager Rod Humble spoke to Rock Paper Shotgun. This conversation focused around whether or not Life By You will be able to accommodate lower-end PC specifications when it releases in early access this September.
“Our aim was to make a well running, open AAA high-end life simulator first and foremost, so our min specs reflect that,” Humble says. “Once we get it running, we can look at whether there are ways we can optimise it to bring it down. But out of the gate, I would strongly urge people to look at the min specs and take them seriously. If you’re going to play the game, you’re going to need a good gaming PC.”
Life By You PC Requirements
With Paradox’s aim to make the game the best it can be, their emphasis is “not to make it work on all hardware.” Although this is a shame for those with lower-end setups, Humble assures that this will be better for the game in the long run.
So, let’s take a look at both the minimum and recommended PC requirements for Life By You.

Life By You minimum PC requirements:
CPU: Intel Core i5-8600 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
RAM: 6GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 (4GB) / AMD Radeon R9 380 (4GB)
Storage: 25GB
OS: Windows 10
DirectX: Version 11
Life By You recommended PC requirements:
CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F / AMD Ryzen 5 5600
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 (6GB) / AMD Radeon EX 5700 XT
Storage: 25GB
OS: Windows 10 / 11
DirectX: Version 11
As you can see, the GPU requirements will not be much of an issue. However, most players could run into an issue with the CPU requirements. The minimum CPU requirements are a lot more up-to-date than other games in this genre, such as The Sims. However, it is still a lot less taxing than the average AAA title.
