The Last of Us Part 2 might be one of the most anticipated games of all time thanks to the mammoth success of its 2013 predecessor.
Since its announcement back in 2016, fans of the Naughty Dog classic have been clamouring for more information – more specifically – a release date.

There’s been rumours swirling about the game’s release for years now, with people questioning whether or not the game will be the swan-song of the PlayStation 4 or perhaps a launch title for the PlayStation 5, but thing is, we just don’t know until we know.
However, one website seems to have some insider knowledge, as it claims that not only will we FINALLY get a release date for TLOU2 this week, but we’ll also get a shiny new trailer too!

The rumour comes via GameReactor, who writes [translated]: “According to Gamereactor comments sources close to the company, Sony is preparing to set the release date of Last of Us 2 this week.
“In fact, they say, it will do so with a new trailer of the raw survival adventure of Joel and Ellie , marking the exact day they will return to PS4, most likely, this fall.”
Of course, unnamed sources are always to be taken with a pinch of scepticism, but at this point I’m ready to believe anything about this game.
Interestingly, it’s been confirmed that Hideo Kojima’s weird AF Death Stranding will have an announcement to make this week too.
Sharing the news on Twitter, it seems that May 29 will bring some exciting news for the upcoming Sony exclusive.
Again, speculation is rife about this one, but it seems as though a new trailer is a dead cert, and maybe a release date if we’re super lucky?

Will The Last of Us 2 share some news on the same date?
