Yesterday (December 10) Disney announced an unbelievable lineup of upcoming new Marvel series and movies headed to Disney Plus and cinemas.

First up is a bunch of new series coming to Disney Plus, including the Secret Invasion starring Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Talos, played by Captain Marvel’s Ben Mendelsohn.  We last saw Fury and Talos together in a post-credit scene during the conclusion of Captain Marvel in 2019.

Armor Wars will star Don Cheadle as James Rhodes a.k.a War Machine where he must top Tony Stark’s armour tech falling into enemy hands.

Ironheart which stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a genius inventor who creates an even more advanced form of the Iron Man suit. Ironheart made her debut in Invincible Iron Man in 2015.

Wanda Vision arrives on January 15th, 2021 and Shang-Chi & The Legend of the Ten Rings arrives on July 9th, 2021.

Baby Groot will be getting his own animated series which is of course set in the Guardians of the Galaxy universe.

Guardians of the Galaxy will be getting a Holiday Special in 2022, and it will be written & directed by James Gunn.

Moon Knight is getting his own series, as well as Hawkeye starring Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfield as Kate Bishop.

The previously announced series coming to Disney Plus, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, is to launch in March 2021.

The Loki series will launch May 2021 and the “What If…?” series will launch during the summer of 2021.

Finally in Disney Plus news, Tatiana Maslany has been confirmed to play the role as She-Hulk, with Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as The Hulk, and Tim Roth will return as Abomination.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige also revealed further details on upcoming movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Feige confirmed that a new Fantastic Four movie has begun production and will have Spider-Man: Homecomings Jon Watts directing. Let’s just hope that this new Fantastic Four reboot is better than the previous attempts.

Marvel won’t be recasting the role of T’Challa as Black Panther out of respect for the late Chadwick Boseman.

However someone will be playing a new Black Panther, so it will be interesting to see how that role is approached. Ryan Coogler will return to direct the sequel set for release July 8th, 2022.

Both Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau will appear in Captain Marvel 2. Kamala Kahn is also getting her own Ms. Marvel series.

Ant-Man 3 is officially called “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”.

Christian Bale has been confirmed to play the role as the villainous Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Finally it has been confirmed that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Madness will connect to the events of the upcoming Spider-Man 3.

That’s a LOT of Marvel news right there, but what are you most looking forward to from this incredible lineup of upcoming series and movies?
