Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets New Screenshots, Specs Revealed

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is (hopefully) coming soon, and the team has just released a series of new – dare I say – breathtaking screenshots [via DSO Gaming].

We already know that FS 2020 is set to blow the previous iterations of the adored sim out of the window, but the latest batch of screenshots look better than you could imagine, boasting a level of realism and detail that most games can only dream of.

The new images come courtesy of the game’s latest alpha version and were captured by Flight Simulator members SimTom112, WildestHawk4431, Tomlaut1980, pilotskcx, LeadoffJoker47, WhiteLight506, DampfGepard9514, Bonham Five, Batlle777 and FreakDragonfly5.

It’s not just surface-level beauty though, as the attention to detail in the game is unparalleled. According to the hardworking devs, a whopping 37,000 airports were manually edited by the team for the game, making this one of the most exciting additions to the Xbox Game Studios line up.

The level of detail really is incredible, with each airport boasting day-to-night changes, bustling and busy people, and – of course – hyperrealistic environments. There’s even animated ground crew, and by using official data for some of the biggest airports, even nearby signage is true-to-life.
