Monster Hunter Now is the upcoming mobile game by Pokémon Go creator Niantic. Here’s when it will be released and how you can pre-register.
Niantic, and co-developer Capcom have announced when players can expect to see Monster Hunter Now appear on their smartphones. For fans of the franchise, they can look forward to a familiar experience via smartphone.
What To Expect
The game will feature some well-known monsters who were discussed during a video presentation streamed this afternoon.
This includes Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Pukei-Pukei, Barroth, Great Girros, Tobi Kadachi, Jyuratodus, Paolumu, Anjanath, Rathian, Legiana, Rathalos and Diablos.
For players familiar with Pokémon Go, you can expect a similar experience of real-world exploration that will see you ‘encounter’ monster battles. You will also find resources on your travels that will allow you to upgrade your gear.
Not only that but players can also work together with others to take down bigger monsters. Each player will be able to choose between a wide arsenal of weapons with everything from great swords to bows.
Monster Hunter Now Release Date
The game will be available on your smartphone app store as of September 14.
Additionally, you can now sign up for pre-registration on iPhone and Android. As an incentive, Niantic has revealed bonuses will be rewarded based on the amount of people who register.
After the first 500,000 people sign-up, in-game items will be rewarded to them on release day. When it hits 1 million users, there will be even more in-game items as well as an in-game founder medal.
There will also be an even bigger reward if the game hits five million registrations.
