EDIT: Since writing, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that a mistranslation led to the belief that it is working on multiple Cyberpunk 2077 games. The company has since stated this is not the case.
Original story:
CD Projekt Red might not have released its upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077, but it looks like the team is already planning the next titles in the series – favouring the new IP over The Witcher.
During a conference earlier this week, studio president Adam Kiciński spilled some details about the company’s plans for the future, and it looks like it’s going to be pretty Cyberpunk-centric for the coming years.

As reported by Polish news site Bankier [via ComicBook], Kiciński confirmed the team is “working on three Cyberpunk things,” apparently being two unnamed projects alongside Cyberpunk 2077.
There also seems to be plans for a mobile game in the works thanks to another partnership with Spokko, the developers behind Gwent.
Speaking of Cyberpunk 2077‘s pre-sale stats, Kiciński said the studio is happy with the results so far.

Unfortunately, no mention of The Witcher series was brought up during the conference, meaning we’re likely to be seeing all three of the Cyberpunk projects before we hear word of The Witcher 4.
It’s bad news for some, but there’s a lot of Witcher goodness to tide us over during the coming months, if not years.

Netflix recently unveiled its first images for its upcoming original series based on the lore of The Witcher.
Netflix seems to be focusing more on the books on which CD Projekt Red’s games are based, rather than the games themselves, but hey, I’m not complaining.
With the first season of the show dropping later this year (a concrete release date is yet to be confirmed), 2019 is going to be a very good year for CD Projekt Red and fans of its IPs.

The iconic RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be releasing on Nintendo Switch at some point in the coming months too.
Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing next year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, April 16 2020.
