Multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies have been delayed in 2022. Including Thor Love and Thunder, and Black Panther 2.
Over the last 18 months or so, the COVID-19 pandemic has been running rampant. Resulting in movie delays, movies not being shown in cinemas, and more. However, despite getting back to some form of normality recently, its impact is still having a domino effect.
As a result of the ongoing impact, Disney has announced a wave of fresh delays for the MCU, as well as the fifth Indiana Jones movie. As reported by Variety, a multitude of phase four movies in 2022 have been pushed back.
Thankfully, the delays won’t be leaving us waiting too long as we’ll still have plenty of Marvel goodness to look forward to in 2022.
What MCU movies have been delayed and to when?
- Dr. Strange in The Multiverse of Madness will launch on May 6th, 2022.
- Thor: Love and Thunder will launch in July 2022.
- Black Panther 2 will launch in November 2022.
Elsewhere, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantomania will launch in July 2023. Finally, Indiana Jones 5 has been pushed back an entire year from summer 2022 to the new window of summer 2023.
At this time there is no mention of Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3 being delayed. So, hopefully, it’s safe to assume that Starlord and co are still on track to release in 2023.
