Naughty Dog Announces Merch For The Last Of Us Part 2

We recently experienced a very special day in the world of Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us. In case you’re not up to date on your TLOU lore, the 26th September “marks the day the cordyceps fungus hit critical mass” and is therefore known as Outbreak Day.

Naughty Dog and Sony have celebrated Outbreak Day since 2013, making this year its fifth anniversary.

For Outbreak Day’s fifth birthday The Last Of Us website announced a handful of goodies now available, released in celebration of the upcoming The Last Of Us Part II.

We were also teased with a few blurry images and a countdown, which has just been revealed to be a poster, Ellie T-Shirt, a vinyl copy of the soundtrack and messaging stickers for Apple devices.

The other goodies available – which weren’t blurry secrets – include Part II PlayStation avatars, a pretty sweet PS4 system theme, “The Last Of Us (Cycles)” theme song and device wallpaper for your phone, tablet or laptop.

The Last Of Us Part II is pretty much guaranteed to destroy PlayStation’s current exclusive titles launches, with the likelihood being it’ll even best Spider-Man‘s record-breaking sales numbers.

It’s been a brilliant few months for PS4 exclusives, with God of War also seriously impressing PlayStation fans. With titles like The Last Of Us Part II coming out next year, it looks like PlayStation is dominating the console wars…for now.

The Last Of Us Part II is yet to get a release date, and I wouldn’t hold your breath for any date announced as Naughty Dog has a history of delaying its games’ initial release dates to ensure they’re providing us with the best possible experience from day one.

It’s why we love Naughty Dog!

Will you be picking this game up when it launches next year, or have you got your sights on other 2019 titles?
