Netflix Renews The Cuphead Show For Season 2

Cuphead fans have plenty to look forward to, as Netflix have announced that it has renewed The Cuphead Show for a second season.

The Cuphead Show arrived on Netflix towards the end of last month, and has generally been met with positive reviews. Netflix is clearly confident in The Cuphead Show, as a second season has already been confirmed.

Not only that, but it’s coming soon, with a release window of summer 2022. Details are pretty slim on what we can expect from season two. But the first season left out a number of bosses seen in the original game. So there is definitely plenty the show can draw from.

The second season has most likely been in development for a while, as animation is a slow process. So clearly Netflix believed the show would always be successful. However, the streaming service is prone to cancelling shows more often these days. But Cuphead is incredibly popular, so it’s unlikely to happen.

Cuphead fans don’t just have the second season to look forward to, as the long awaited DLC, The Delicious Last Course, is finally out June 30. The Delicious Last Course brings in Ms. Chalice as a playable character, featuring new bosses, levels, and a friendly character called Chef Saltbaker. Originally expected to release in 2019, the DLC has received a number of days before getting a proper release date in December last year. It’s sure to prove to be a challenging time, but at least a new character will help mix things up.
