New Ghostwire Tokyo Leak Suggests Possible Release Date

According to an apparent leak on the PS Store, Bethesda’s Ghostwire: Tokyo will be released on March 24th.

The potential leak was spotted by MP1st. However, upon checking the PS Store, Ghostwire: Tokyo does not appear. Spooky! Thankfully, MP1st was able to grab a screenshot of the listing before it mysteriously disappeared.

This of course could be an error on Sony’s part and not the actual release date for Bethesda’s last outing on PlayStation. That being said, it could be real, only time will tell.

Will Bethesda announce a date soon?

If Bethesda makes an official announcement soon, it would give us a good couple of months to save up our money for a day one purchase. It’s also worth keeping in mind that Ghost Wire: Tokyo has been targeting an early 2022 release. With that in mind, the date is believable.

In Ghostwire: Tokyo: “Nearly all of Tokyo’s citizens have vanished mysteriously, and otherworldly spirits (known as Visitors) have invaded the city. The protagonist Akito’s supernatural powers begin to manifest. As Akito combats the spirits haunting the city, he encounters a group wearing Hannya masks who may unveil the mystery behind the strange events in Tokyo.

Ghostwire: Tokyo will be developed by The Evil Within studio, Tango Gameworks. However, while it will have elements of supernatural horror, action will very much be an emphasis. So this will be no survival horror experience, though it does look like a lot of fun.
