A product listing for the “New Nintendo Switch Pro” has briefly appeared on Amazon Mexico, according to reports by VGC.

Spotted by Twitter user Alphabeat, the listing appears to relate to Nintendo’s unannounced Switch successor. However, while the Nintendo listing explicitly names a “New Nintendo Switch Pro”, the page fails to provide any other details about the console.

According to a recent report by Bloomberg, Nintendo’s Switch successor will be announced ahead of this year’s E3. The revised hardware will also retail for $299 and will effectively replace the current version of Nintendo’s handheld. Bloomberg’s sources have also indicated that the console could release “in September or October”.

Previously, we learned that the supposed “Super Switch” will feature a 7-inch Samsung OLED display and will be capable of 4K video output. Despite being capable of displaying Ultra HD on TVs, the console’s handheld resolution will apparently still feature a 720p resolution [via Bloomberg].

Of course, while Nintendo fans are excited at the prospect of a new Switch, Nintendo’s revised hardware comes with concerns. As the Bloomberg report suggests, Nintendo looks set to replace its current Switch model with a new one. Naturally, this has lead to speculation that Nintendo might start making games exclusively for the new “Super Switch”.

While Nintendo hasn’t officially announced any plans for new hardware exclusivity, the company used a similar strategy when it released its New Nintendo 3DS back in 2015. As a result, games like Xenoblade Chronicles 3D were launched as New 3DS exclusives, making them incompatible with original 3DS models.

Hopefully, Nintendo will reveal more about its new Switch model soon. While the original handheld hybrid is still extremely popular, its technical capabilities are lacklustre compared to the PS5 or Xbox Series X. However, despite its shortcomings, Nintendo is still dominating the handheld market with the Switch. Therefore, an improved version of the console will probably solidify their claim to the throne for years to come!
