To the surprise of no-one, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has just hit a subscriber milestone in less than a week after his move to Microsoft’s streaming platform, Mixer.
Ninja, who made a name for himself playing Fortnite on Twitch, recently announced he’d now only be streaming on Mixer.
Sharing the news of the milestone on Twitter, Ninja writes: “Today we hit 1,000,000 active subscribers on mixer ^-^ thank you for all the incredible support. I haven’t felt this good in a long time.”

One million in less than a week is pretty impressive, but considering just how many people love to watch Ninja, I can’t say I’m surprised.
Since Ninja’s move, Mixer has seen a huge number of people signing up to the platform, with the Mixer mobile app jumped to the top spot on the App Store in just a few hours’ of the news breaking.

Jessica Blevins, Ninja’s wife, tweeted about the move, reminding people that the decision wasn’t based on the success of the channel, but more-so on Ninja’s brand image.
“Although the stats on @Ninja Mixer channel are amazing right now, thats not what we planned to focus on with the transition,” she tweeted. “We are stoked about it, but even if Ty had 5k viewers, we were ready and confident with this move. Aligns with what we believe in & wanted for the brand <3”
