Nvidia shares details on huge new GeForce RTX Graphics Cards

PC gamers have a lot to look forward to, as Nvidia has shared details on three upcoming GeForce RTX Graphics Cards.

The RTX 3080, RTX 3070, and a new high-end RTX 3090 will all be made available in the next month or so, offering a range of different specs.

The GeForce RTX 3080 looks to be the the middle ground of the three – and is likely to be the most popular. Released on September 17, it will set customers back £650 but for that Nvidia states the new card performs up to twice as fast as the 2080 Ti, which cost nearly double.

Nvidia also says the 3080 uses GDDR6X memory rated at 19Gbps, and can hit 4K 60fps in the majority of titles with ray tracing enabled.

The RTX 3090 is definitely the most high-end offering, clocking in at a cool £1400. For that you’ll get a staggering 24GB of GDDR6X memory and a three-slot “flow-through” cooler, which keeps the card 30°C colder than the Titan RTX.

For a more affordable card, there’s the RTX 3070, coming in October for £470. Nvidia claims that this model also performs better that than the 2080 Ti, just not twice as good like the 3080.

All in there’s three very different options with a spread of price points, so hopefully there will be something for everyone.
