Hey, remember Fortnite? Of course you don’t, you’ve been too busy playing Apex Legends, right?
Well, you’re not the only one as Apex Legends hit 10 million players in just 72 hours of its release – something that Epic Games’ free-to-play battle royale can’t boast about.
With the newly-released Apex being in the same vein as Fortnite (with both being free-to-play battle royale games), it’s easy to see where the comparisons come from, and it looks like Fortnite might finally have a worthy competitor in the free games market.
One of Twitch’s most popular Fortnite streamers, Tfue, recently took to Twitter to ask the question we’re all thinking – why isn’t Fortnite fun anymore?
Why is Fortnite not fun rn

And naturally, people pointed to the newly-launched battle royale game Apex Legends as the cause.

It might be time for Epic Games to get scared, as it looks like Apex is surging forward to take its popularity crown. In fact, it’s actually the most-game on Twitch right now.
When asking gamers which is their favourite via Twitter, G-Fuel received an overwhelming 76% of votes for Apex over Fortnite (at the time of writing).
Which one has captured your gaming heart as of late??? ??❤️

And Twitter user, YUNG BANS also shared a similar opinion, saying “Apex Legends just put Fortnite out of business”…
Apex legends just put fortnite out of business no cap.

Of course, Apex is a brand-new game, and whether or not it will reach the lofty heights of success that Fortnite has achieved remains to be seen.
What we can say though, is that Apex couldn’t have had a better launch than it has. Who knows how far it’ll go from here?
