Games Out This Week: Mario Golf, DnD, JRPGs And More

Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance [PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X]

Dungeons & Dragons Dark Alliance is actually a spiritual successor to the hack n’ slash game Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, which was first released in 2001. The game is being developed by Tuque Games, with the team including former Ubisoft veterans.

Dark Alliance looks to be a completely different beast to Baldur’s Gate though. Rather than the top-down view of that game it features an over-the shoulder-perspective, similar to the likes of the God of War series.

Based on Wizard of the Coast’s tabletop universe, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is a four-player co-op set within the Icewind Dale.

You can see in the trailer that gameplay can get pretty intense and that there’s a lot of variety when it comes to character moves. We also know that we’ll get to see a variety of heroes in the game from the DnD universe including Drizzt, Catti-brie, Bruenor, and Wulfgar.

It’s also worth watching the trailer if you’re a fan of Flight of the Conchords or What We Do In The Shadows. You might recognise the voice!
