Persona 5 is coming to mobile

Perfect World Games have announced a Persona 5 game coming to mobile. Titled ‘Persona: Phantom of the Night (P5X)’, here’s everything we know so far.

This news comes after the official account for the new game was posted to Weibo. It is here we found out the title of the upcoming title in the Persona franchise. Additionally, we learned that this will be a free-to-play mobile RPG made by Atlas and Sega.

What’s next for the Persona 5 story?

Although we don’t know too much yet, we do know that we look to be getting a new protagonist. Furthermore, they will be joined with a new cast in the familiar area of Yongen Jaya.

Additionally, it looks to feature the same art style we know and love from Persona. The characters look as interesting as ever as we return to Mementos and collect Personas. It is also hinted that the original Phantom Thieves are said to be making a return. 

Finally, there’s no need to worry as our animal friends will be making an appearance. This time will see an owl who can turn into a mech-style Persona.

When will it be available? 

Persona: Phantom of the Night has no set release date as of yet. However, we will keep an eye on the official website. What we do know however is that it will be initially released in China on Android, iOS and PC. Hopefully it will follow as a worldwide release shortly after.

For those who wish to do some extra sleuthing, a secret site has appeared. However, it is in Chinese.

Until then, it has been revealed that some lucky people will be able to jump into P5X as of March 29. We are currently unsure if applications will continue after this date.
