PewDiePie Diss Track Gets Removed From YouTube

Popular YouTuber PewDiePie has landed himself in more controversy, this time thanks to a diss track aimed at children’s YouTube channel Cocomelon.

Pewds recorded the music track, called “Coco,” to YouTube before it was removed by YouTube. The platform has stated the video “violates policy on harassment and bullying.”

Pretty much as soon as the video was published, it began trending on Twitter and this is when PewDiePie started to get the wrong kind of attention from the social media platform.

As transcribed by PopCulture.com, lyrics in the music video included: “Here is the story that I’m tellin’ / What is it? / About a stupid f—in’ b—a— melon.

The song continues: “f–in’ with my mojo-jo-jo-jo,” and then, “Coco in a chokehold, I go loco if you want me to / Ga-ga-ga-ga-ga-ga-gee, you ain’t f–in’ passin’ me.

The lyrics also said :”Yeah, I saw your sh-t, ew, f—’ cringe (Ew) / It’s not even funny and your head is really big (why?).

The Team YouTube Twitter page put out a tweet highlighting the violations of the platform’s policies as to why PewDiePie’s video was removed.

Jumping in to clarify–this video was removed for violating two policies: 1) Child safety: images/themes for kids but containing inappropriate content 2) Harassment: by inciting harassment @ other creators, we allow criticism but this crossed the line,” said the tweet.

It’s also been confirmed that any full or partial reuploads of the “Coco” music video will be removed.

Also note: any re-uploads of the original, including full length or partial re-uploads, clips, etc will be removed too. Still images are ok,” said a follow-up tweet.

The Cocomelon channel, which primarily uploads nursery rhyme videos, has been around since 2016. In recent years it’s been rapidly growing in popularity, and currently has over 105 million subscribers, creeping up on PewDiePie’s 109 million.

PewDiePie has jokingly mentioned Cocomelon in previous videos and even called upon arch rival T-Series to join forces to “defeat” the nursery rhyme channel.

The PDP community seemingly isn’t happy with YouTube pulling the video, as expressed by one individual below.

This is not right Team YouTube correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t all disstrack’s bullying? Take Ricegums It’s Every Night Sis he is clearly ‘bullying’ Jake Paul and also PewDiePie says at the end of the video “I’m just playing coco you know I love you,” said the follower.

The tweet continued with the follow-up: “in videos both after and before he has said this is all for fun and games and that he has nothing against Cocomelon this is ludicrous and unfair and if you do keep it down then why don’t you remove all of the other diss tracks too Team YouTube you really are bias against PewDiePie.
