Here’s When The New PlayStation Plus Tiers Will Be Available

Sony has issued an update for when its upcoming new tiers for PlayStation Plus will be available for everyone. We know now the launch dates of the new service.

We’re making fantastic progress with our launch efforts and I wanted to update you on the latest,” states PlayStation Blog. “We’re rolling out our new offering for PlayStation Plus a little earlier in select markets in Asia, followed by Japan.

We now know when to expect the new tiers to take effect. Here are the launch dates:

  • Asia (excluding Japan) – May 23, 2022
  • Japan – June 1, 2022
  • Americas – June 13, 2022
  • Europe – June 22, 2022

Furthermore, PlayStation is expanding its cloud streaming access to more locations. A total of 30 countries will be able to stream games directly from the cloud.

We’ve been working on this massive global effort to provide flexible options, quality games and greater value for our members for quite some time now,” the blog continues. “We want to thank our PlayStation community for the ongoing support, and we’ll have more to share as we get closer to launch.

PlayStation announced the upcoming changes to its PS Plus service late last month. The service will be split into three tiers; Essential, Extra, and Premium. Which tier will you be getting? Let us know on our social channels!
