PlayStation Studio Claims They Are Working On More Remasters And PC Ports

A PlayStation owned studio has revealed that they are working on creating more remasters as well as providing high-quality PC ports.

Nixxes Software, a studio bought by PlayStation back in 2021 is best known for working on some of the most well-received PC ports.

It was responsible for porting PlayStation exclusives such as Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Spider-Man Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

More PlayStation Remasters & PC Ports

Now in a recent Youtube video, the team has announced they are “working more and more in creating remasters”.

This news means we can expect to see more and more last-gen PS games being brought over to the PS5 in the future.

“What we provide for PlayStation Studios is high-quality PC ports,” says lead engineer Coen Frauenfelder. “[We’re] also working more and more in creating remasters.”

Despite Nixxus focusing more on PC ports than remasters in recent years, their work has still been highly efficient.

So much so that when the studio isn’t involved in porting PS games to PC, it hasn’t gone so well. This could be seen with the issues surrounding The Last of Us Part 1 and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor

What Can We Expect

Also Nixxus are yet to reveal which games they are working on remastering, we can take a few guesses (and cross some fingers).

For most gamers, they would love to finally see the PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne come to PC. Since its release back in 2015, it has been met with constant questions about whether or not it will be brought to PC. Despite no confirmation as of yet, it won’t stop players hoping.

For now, all we can do is wait and see what Sony and Nixxus Software are working on.
