As many of us might have expected, PlayStation will have Call of Duty: Vanguard exclusive content for at least a year.
A story trailer was released for Call of Duty: Vanguard this week, giving fans a taste of what to expect from the single player campaign. However, it was the closing details of that trailer that caught the attention of many fans.
In recent years, Call of Duty has offered exclusive content for the PlayStation consoles. For example, Black Ops Cold War had various Zombies Onslaught modes that were exclusive to PlayStation, as were weapon blueprints and more.
What exclusive content can PlayStation fans expect?
At this time, we do not know. Though I am sure we can expect certain multiplayer modes and other aspects to be exclusive to PS4 and PS5. However, what we do know for sure is that PlayStation will have ‘exclusive benefits‘ up until November 1st, 2022. This means that PC and Xbox gamers will have to wait at least a year to access certain content.
Timed-exclusive content is nothing new with the Call of Duty franchise. I remember when the Xbox 360 received map packs for Modern Warfare way before the PS3. It sucked then, and it sucks now (in my opinion). It is a shame that not everyone can enjoy the exact same content for the game they buy, regardless of platform.
What do you think the timed-exclusive content will be on PlayStation? Let us know across our social media channels.
Call of Duty: Vanguard will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on November 5th.
