If you’ve followed Mortal Kombat for a while now you will know one thing. Their collaborations and DLC is often superb and ridiculous. In Mortal Kombat 11 alone we have seen The Joker, Nightwolf, Shang Tsung, Sindel Spawn and The Terminator added. And that was just Kombat Pack 1!
Aftermath introduced Fujin, RoboCop and Sheeva and now Kombat Pack 2 is looking to make something possible many wouldn’t of dreamed when the franchise launched back in 1992.
Every fan of 80s action films will be delighted to know that John Rambo will be joining the roster. Meaning Mortal Kombat 11 is going all in on doing for action hero fans what Mortal Kombat X did for horror fans. We’re hoping they find a way to get Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and Steven Seagal in there too!
Joining Rambo will be Mileena, which fans will no doubt be ecstatic about. Mileena has been one of the main requests from long term Mortal Kombat fans to make an appearance in 11. She’s been in the franchise since Mortal Kombat 2 and has built up quite the following!
Rain finishes off the DLC announcement. A less iconic character but still an important one that has been in the franchise since Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Fun Rain fact for you. Their name and purple colouring is a reference to the musician Prince and the song Purple Rain. How do we know this? Due to a 2011 interview Ed Boon did with PlayStation Blog.

Free Upgrade
The announcement also confirmed that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S users will get a free upgrade. It will include visual enhancements, 4K dynamic resolution, reduced load times and cross-gen and cross-play. Hopefully this means the games will continue to have a fanbase for quite some time. You’ll be able to get this free upgrade from November 17th.
