RDR2 Player Sneaks Game’s Screenshot Into World’s Largest Community For Landscape Photography

Red Dead Redemption 2 is definitely a very detailed and realistic-looking game. People have had a whale of a time hunting down the most picturesque spots to share on social media and praising Rockstar Games for the game’s scenery.

Some people have apparently taken it a step too far though, with one user even going so far as to submit an in-game photo to Reddit’s r/earthp*rn forum.

After a huge 5k of upvotes for his snapshot in a Red Dead forum, a user known as Gatsu30 went ahead and submitted it to the landscape photography group.

Not too surprisingly, the community of experts mostly recognised the image from RDR (or from the RDR subreddit) and left overt comments on the thread implying that the joke was up

“One Irish guy, Sean MacGuire I think his name was, runs the local street sweeping business. He’s a good guy,” wrote one user.

“I haven’t talked to him in years,” replied another. “He started kind of running with the kind of the wrong crowd, not bad people, just kind of lost and lived a dangerous live style. I really hope he’s ok, I’d hate to hear something bad happened to him.”

Another Redditor joked: “Just breathtaking. There are few, if any places like this left on earth. As if nature was left untouched since 1899.”

You probably won’t find the following comment on TripAdvisor though: “i visited this place in October for some horseback riding and fishing. really beautiful.

“unfortunately the cold weather caused my lumbago to flare up so i had to cut my trip short.” Lol.

Reddit users have found it so funny that a lot of them are looking to spam the page with game photos as part of an elaborate April Fools joke later this year.

Before you jump on the bandwagon, it could get you in trouble with Reddit…

One user commented on one of the threads saying: “I hate to be a buzzkill, I really do. In my own personal opinion, a flood of RDRp*rn on /r/EarthP*rn on April Fools is rather tame as far as brigades go. But it is a brigade nonetheless, which the admins take very seriously, and I don’t want to see action taken against any of you, or the subreddit, for participating. Please do NOT brigade /r/EarthP*rn on April 1.

“I will message their moderators and see if they have any plans for April 1, but unless they give explicit permission, we cannot allow or endorse a brigade of their subreddit.”
