Red Dead Redemption 2 Fan Gives The Game A Much Happier Ending

A fan has created an alternative and happier ending to Red Dead Redemption 2 and to be honest it’s one that I much prefer to the original.

The video was created and uploaded to the YouTube channel GameLore [via GamingBible], and it gives the impressions of what might have been had the Van der Linde Gang gone for the money at Blackwater during chapter two of the campaign.

Just as a heads-up, I’m about to go into spoiler territory here, so this is your official warning!

If events unfolded differently, the result could have been the happy wedding of John and Abigail Marston.

Sure the pair got married during the epilogue of Red Dead Redemption 2 but it was a very private moment for the couple.

By this time there were very few members of the gang left and most of those that were alive were disbanded and never seen again (probably).

In the heart-warming video below we see a happy Arthur Morgan dancing away and even a very merry Dutch joining in on the celebrations.

Heck, the video is so happy that even the overwhelming hated Micah Bell doesn’t meet an untimely demise.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (along with the original RDR) is hands-down one of my favourite games of all-time. However it’s also one of my most heartbreaking.

I won’t go into spoilers here, but if you’ve played Red Dead Redemption 2 then you’ll likely know what I’m about to refer to.

When something happened to a beloved character in the game my initial reaction was to load-up a previous save before a certain moment had happened, and with my attempts to save them proving to be futile, I drastically searched the internet for alternative outcomes.

The heart-warming video in question was made from Red Dead Redemption 2 community mods and while none of it is official, I would have much preferred to have encountered this alternative ending if it were possible.

One user on Reddit shared my sentiments by saying: “Oh, I wish this was possible to experience in-game. Like an Easter egg, a dream or anything! Even Micah joined!
