Redfall Development Images Have Been Leaked Online

Early development images of upcoming co-op shooter Redfall have leaked online, hinting at gameplay elements of this spooky, supernatural game.

Arkane is releasing its time-bending shooter Deathloop later this week (it’s really good!), but the studio’s next title is an open-world co-op shooter with four playable main characters. Choose from: Devinder, a crypto-zoologist; Layla, a bio-engineering graduate with telekinetic abilities; Remi, a combat engineer; and Jacob, an ex-military sharp-shooter.

The campaign will have players team up with a group of survivors to go vampire-hunting. The game describes their supernatural opponents like this:

“Redfall’s vampires were created after a scientific experiment went horribly wrong. But they’re not the only thing standing in your way – players will also face off against the human cultists who worship the island’s hungry new leadership.”

With a strong American gothic vibe, the game will allow you to explore the abandoned downtown of Redfall, Massachusetts. The town comes complete with a misty boardwalk and a haunted forest.

The Redfall game will reportedly have single and co-op play options. Redfall has apparently been optimised for the Xbox Series X|S. You can take a look at Redfall yourself in the trailer here:

What do the leaked dev images tell us?

As reported by Video Games Chronicle, the leaked images suggest that Redfall will have an open-world map with missions and loot shooter elements. The game will also feature a skill tree and different ranks of weaponry. It also seems that players will be able to toggle between third or first-person views.

Redfall is due out next summer on Xbox and PC – we’ll see then whether the leaks are proved true!
