The Valheim: Hearth & Home update is finally live – and it includes new items, locations and creatures. But most importantly: a hot tub to chill in with your party after raids.
As autumn rolls in to the Northern hemisphere, the articles have already begun to be written about how to bring a bit of hygge into your life. Apparently, we should all be trying to channel friluftsliv this year. This is similar to the cosy ideal of hygge, it incorporates spending time in the fresh air to bring about a sense of wellbeing.

Valheim is developed by Swedish game devs Iron Gate Studio. The game takes place in a world that tests if you’re ready to ascend to Valhalla (the Viking afterlife). However, the gameplay is pretty similar to how Vikings imagined their heaven – you spend all day battling and raiding with friends and the evening drinking and feasting.
“A battle-slain warrior, the Valkyries have ferried your soul to Valheim, the tenth Norse world. Besieged by creatures of chaos and ancient enemies of the gods, you are the newest custodian of the primordial purgatory, tasked with slaying Odin’s ancient rivals and bringing order to Valheim.”
What does Hearth & HOme update include?
The latest update gives you additional options to craft and customise your homestead. Max out the cosy factor, stay in and experience hygge.
Feel like experiencing more of a friluftsliv vibe? Head out to newly “slimy locations and creatures” which GamesRadar reports have been added into the plains region.
The best feature in this author’s opinion is the addition of a hot tub. Now you and your buddies on your server can relax and unwind after a long day defending Valheim from evil.
The game is still in development. However, you can play the early access version as new features like Hearth & Home are added.
