Release Date For Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Has Possibly Leaked

It’s official: the next addition to the beloved Assassin’s Creed franchise will be called “Valhalla.” Set in the Viking era, the game was revealed by Ubisoft in a (long, long) livestream which took place yesterday.

Not too much is known about Valhalla as of yet, but we could already have an idea of when the game will release thanks to Amazon.

Over on Amazon Germany [via ComicBook], the companion book for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has reportedly been listed, and it’s already gotten a release date of November 17, 2020. Usually, AC companion books come out within a few weeks of the game itself (or at least, this was the case with Origins, where the book came out 17 days before the game, and Odyssey, where the book came out 25 days after the game).

So it looks like we could be seeing Valhalla landing on store shelves anywhere from late October to late November 2020, which actually isn’t too far off! Colour me excited!

Speaking of colouring, yesterday’s title reveal came courtesy of a collaboration between Ubisoft and Bosslogic. Over the course of a few hours, professional artist Bosslogic revealed the first image from the game, showing fans the process of creating it in Photoshop.

In case you’re not familiar, Kode Abdo, also known as Bosslogic, is “an Australian contemporary digital artist who emerged on social media with his powerful and creative works on all current trends on the Internet, notably when it comes to his favorite subject: the Entertainment industry.” Previous works include a Marvel-approved Limited Edition Avengers: Endgame poster.

A full reveal trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been confirmed for today, April 30, at 8am PT (that’s 4pm for us UK folks). Make sure to tune in for the world’s first look at the next AC title.
