Resident Evil 2 Remake DLC Is In Discussion At Capcom

We’re now so close to the launch of the Resident Evil 2 remake that the internet can barely contain its excitement, but how long will it be until we get some much-desired DLC for the title?

In an interview with SaudiGamer [via WCCFTech], Game Director Kazunori Kadoi and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi said that DLC is currently in discussion at Capcom, stating [translated]: “I and the director discuss the possibility of providing additional content…

“As for our plan for a series in the future, I say that this question is repeated frequently and I would say that we devote all our efforts in Resident Evil 2 and will not think about another project until we finish it.”

The somewhat vague answer doesn’t tell us when, where or even if we’ll actually get DLC, but it’s good to know Capcom is in talks about the idea.

The Resident Evil 2 remake is pretty-much a guaranteed hit seller at this point, with over two million people downloading and playing the “One Shot Demo” that was released last week.

The number of downloads significantly beats the numbers for the previous demo for Resident Evil 7, leading people to expect high sales numbers for the remake.

If the game performs in the market, it’s likely that Capcom will deliver us some DLC. Maybe if we ask really, really nicely?
