Resident Evil Village has been a topic of discussion lately, due to its incredible completion rate with gamers across the world.
As discussed on Reddit, it’s claimed that Resident Evil Village has a completion rate of 73% on Xbox for the casual difficulty. It’s worth keeping in mind that completing RE Village on anything from normal difficulty and above, will also earn you the casual achievement/trophy.
The 73% completion rate might not seem like a big deal. However, a report from 2020 claimed that only between 10%-20% of players finish a game.
To compare notes, the Reddit post user goes on to claim that only around 20% of players finished Resident Evil 7 on Xbox. To be fair, at least from my experience, RE7 is a much harder game than RE Village, which probably explains why one game has a much higher completion rate than the other.
The numbers are impressive!
While this doesn’t paint a complete picture, I’ve just checked my PlayStation trophy list and around 62% of players have finished RE Village on casual. This compared to only 35% of players who have finished RE7 on easy. On Steam, the numbers are a little closer. Casual difficulty completion for RE Village sits at around 68.5% while 47.3% of players beat RE7 on easy difficulty.
All in all, it seems that Resident Evil Village has one of the highest completion rates in the series. In my opinion, there are two main contributing factors. Firstly, the game has proven to be very popular in terms of sales. Secondly, in my opinion, it’s also one of the easiest games in the series.
