Sea of Stars Release Date

Sea of Stars is set for release on August 29 for PlayStation 4&5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Additionally, it will be added to Sony’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue on its release. That means Extra and Premium members will be able to grab it on day one.

This is rare for PlayStation as they rarely add games to the subscription service on day one. However, don’t get too excited as Sony have previously said that will not be the case in the future for new first-party games.

As a result, the team are “extremely excited” to see it added to the service, according to the PlayStation blog.

Xbox Game Pass members will also be able to download it on release day.

Demo Is Available Now

For those who wish to get a quick taste of the game, a demo is now available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

The demo will include “areas that are part of the final game,” as well as showcase some “gameplay systems and mechanics”. Although it will not feature any spoilers, its aim is to “provide a sense of the tone and vibe”.

“It’s not exactly the final product, but we feel this playable slice represents what we are shooting for. We hope you will enjoy it!” says level designer Philippe Dionne.

You can access the demo through the PlayStation store.
