FromSoftware’s latest game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, is the latest addition to the company’s insanely difficult titles, and people haven’t waited to get stuck into the tricky AF gameplay.

Although 99% of players are still struggling through their first playthrough (probably), one Twitch streamer/speedrunner has already set an insanely impressive Any % run, which took less than one hour.

Twitch streamer Danflesh111, who’s also a well-known Souls speedrunner, polished off Sekiro in a mere 50 minutes and 52 seconds’ time [via PCGamer], but how long they can hold down the accolade remains to be seen.

When it comes down to it, the competitive world of speedrunners is a tough one, and everyone’s going to be vying not just for the best time, but also the best %. Eventually.
YouTube just served me a 90 minute Sekiro speedrun. How do people do this?

Of course, not everyone loves to watch a speedrun, with lots of people dismissing the idea as diminishing the point of playing a game in the first place.
The reason I don’t speedrun games is the same reason I don’t play movies at 10x the speed and I don’t swallow my food without chewing it first. Kind of takes the enjoyment out of it for me. I want to savor every moment. Especially for a game as well crafted as Sekiro. https://t.co/3Qop8bgqMd

Sekiro launched to excellent reviews and has impressive even the most difficult to please fans of the Soul series. It seems FromSoftware really can do no wrong, even when it moves away from the tried-and-tested dark and grim worlds of Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
