Although still unconfirmed, it’s been rumoured for a while now that a new Silent Hill is on the cards. It’s being denied by Konami, but another leak suggests we might be seeing it sooner than expected. The “news” comes from known Resident Evil leaker, AestheticGamer on Twitter, who has been a fairly reliable source of horror game leaks in the past.

That being said, the existence of a new Silent Hill still isn’t verified, so take the rumour with a pinch of salt for now.

According to the leaker, a new Silent Hill game could be revealed as soon as August. They tweeted: “the two most likely times will be in August/September. August there is planned a State of Play in response to Microsoft’s July event with new announcements.
“September there’s a thing planned around [Tokyo Game Show]. I don’t know specifically, I’ll tweet when I do.”
Earlier this year, the same leaker also cited June or August as the reveal of what’s thought to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
“I’ll lay this out again bluntly,” they tweeted. “Silent Hill if [sic] the Japan Studios, Toyama directing, etc, stuff is all true will either be revealed on the 4th or in August. It SHOULD be the 4th as the team is excited to reveal it, the game is PS5 exclusive and it’s in a playable state.”
They followed up, adding: “The only reason it might not is it’s not a launch game. Resident Evil 8 I have no idea when the reveal is, but it was supposed to be E3 originally. It’s a cross-gen game, similarly I think August is the latest it’ll show up, but I suspect it’ll show up somewhere this month.”
We’ve heard rumours of a revisit to Silent Hill for a while now, despite Konami shutting them down. Hopefully we’ll hear more soon!
