Shirley Curry, also known as the “Skyrim Grandma”, is now an NPC follower in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, thanks to a new mod.
In fact, 85-year-old Curry will be an official character in The Elder Scrolls VI (as seen in the 2019 tweet below), but that release is still likely to be some years away.
Thankfully, fans of Skyrim won’t have to wait years to go on an Elder Scrolls adventure with this amazing lady, because a talented modder has added her into the game as a follower.
The mod means that once you find her home located in Brightwood and complete her quest, Shirley will join you on your adventure as a follower. How awesome is that?
“Good morning Grandkids! The beloved YouTube Shirley Curry comes to Skyrim as a follower! Take her on your adventures with you, shares some stories, and slay some dragons together!” reads the description of the trailer uploaded to YouTube.
“Here is the Trailer to my character mod!!! It is Premier right now but will be showing at 8pm my time (eastern)” said Shirley in a tweet.
Shirley shot to fame some years ago playing Skyrim, though she is also a fan of other Bethesda series’ such as Fallout, and according to a recent tweet, she is also a fan of The Evil Within. Now that’s a playthrough that I’d love to see!
The Shirley follower mod can be downloaded from Nexus Mods, as well as via Bethesda.net for PC and Xbox. Sadly, however, due to “modding limitations,” the Shirley mod won’t be available for PS4 or PS5.
I’ve heard of Shirley Curry before now, but for whatever reason, I’ve not subscribed to her channel. Though that has now changed. If you want to see Shirley playing her mod for the first time, you can enjoy the heart-warming introduction below in her latest Let’s Play.
