It appears as though Skyrim is headed for next-gen consoles if a new Amazon listing is to be believed.
As spotted by Twitter user, NextGenPlayer, the listing appeared on Amazon France and appears to show the game with the correct PS5 box art, as recently revealed by Sony. The game is listed as being a “special edition.”
Though the box art definitely adds to the legitimacy of this leak, its still unconfirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt as always.
Considering that Skyrim has released on pretty much everything except your smartphone, it’s not too much of a stretch to see it coming to the PlayStation 5. An Amazon France listing popping up isn’t all that surprising, although I’m definitely interested as to what makes this the “special” edition…
Speaking of PlayStation 4 games headed to PlayStation 5, Grand Theft Auto 5 has been confirmed for the upcoming next-gen console. Announcing the news earlier this summer, Sony has confirmed the PS5 version will receive some technical upgrades, better visuals and performance enhancements.
Explaining more in a blog post, the company said the following:
“Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 5 will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the console’s powerful new hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever.
“For the massive and vibrant community of Grand Theft Auto Online players worldwide, the journey through the ever-evolving, shared world of GTA Online will continue on PlayStation 5, featuring additional GTA Online content exclusive to the latest generation hardware. Plus, a new standalone version of GTA Online will also be available for free exclusively for PlayStation 5 players during the first three months.”
Hopefully we’ll be seeing something similar for Skyrim PS5 (if it’s real…of course).
