If last weekend’s Turkish GP has you hankering for some more ‘exciting’ F1 action, shall we say, then F1 2021 has you covered.
Aside from a couple of spins and some saucy radio action towards the end of the race, Turkey left a lot to be desired on Sunday. It’s a shame, because that Red Bull tribute livery to Honda was looking mighty fine in the damp air. The new design took inspiration from the Honda RA 272 car, a tribute to the company that’s powered Red Bull through the last few championships. With Honda leaving the F1 scene at the end of the year, it’s a fitting tribute to the manufacturer.
Sadly, we’ll likely never see that livery out on the race track again – at least in the real world. The special Red Bull livery is now available to use right now in F1 2021, however it won’t be there forever. As of November 15th, the livery will be removed from the game. You’ll need to act fast to get as many laps in with it as possible!
But that’s not all!
Also included in this update is the long awaited Imola track. The iconic track is one that fans will surely enjoy getting to grips with, especially with that sweet, sweet livery. The new track arrives shortly after Portimao, which was added to the game last month. It won’t be long until we’re treated to another new track, either. The new Jeddah Street Circuit is scheduled to arrive in F1 2021 in November.
While it’s great to see the Honda livery added to the F1 2021, I won’t rest easy until the best special edition colours are added to the game. We all know which ones I’m talking about – the gorgeous baby blue and papaya Gulf kit from McLaren’s epic race at Monaco this year. There are currently no plans to add the Gulf livery to F1 2021, though modders and custom designers have done their best so far.
