Spider-Man Gets His Own Subway And Even The Inside Is Spidey-Themed

Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man is nearly here and to celebrate the launch Peter Parker’s hometown of New York has put on an extra special treat for NYC commuters.

Spidey now has his very own themed subway train and it’s none other than the Times Square Shuttle.

Decked out in Spidey’s signature colours, the subway train features a massive Spider-Man on the outside, and has themed red seats decorated with the iconic spider symbol on the inside.

According to pictures from Twitter user Mike Brady, you can even pick yourself up a copy of the Spider-Man newspaper, the Daily Bugle to make your commute a little less tedious.

The Daily Bugle is said to be the same one handed out to Spider-Man fans back at E3 this year, making it a really awesome piece of memorabilia if you can get your paws on one!

The subway train is apparently also decked out with posters of J. Jonah Jameson himself, advertising what looks to be a Daily Bugle column called ‘Just the Facts.’

This is definitely one way to ride to work in style…

Pictures of thrilled commuters are already flooding Twitter, with fans desperately hoping that Sony will be bringing the idea to other cities in the US, as well as other countries.

We’ll forgive them if the idea stays in Spidey’s hometown though.

Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man is set to be one of the biggest games of the year, boasting absolutely breath-taking graphics and spectacular gameplay in a New York that’s never looked so pretty.

The game is due to release on PlayStation 4, 7th September 2018, just a week before the launch of the new Tomb Raider adventure.

Will you be picking a copy of Spider-Man up when it launches, and if you’re lucky enough to go for a spin on his subway train don’t forget to let us know!
