Spyro Reignited Trilogy Colossus Level Footage Has Been Released

When we finally got the news that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy was coming back in April this year, fans rejoiced in the warm fuzzies you can only get from a hit of childhood gaming nostalgia, and now we’ve got some new footage!

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is set to include the three original PlayStation one games — Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, and just the fancy reboot that Crash Bandicoot saw, Spyro will have remastered graphics and sound.

Although the game won’t be launching for another couple of months, we’ve been blessed with five whole minutes of heart-stoppingly gorgeous game footage that has our inner child crying tears of joy.

Check out the video above for a full playthrough of the famous Colossus level, which fans should remember from Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage.

There’s not just gameplay footage included in the clip though, as you can also preview the reimagined music from the game and check out the opening cutscene for the level.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is said to be making an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con when it kicks off on July 19th, but if you weren’t lucky enough to snag a convention ticket this year then don’t worry – you won’t have too long to wait until the Reignited Trilogy’s full release.

The game will be landing on September 21st 2018 and will be available for PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X.

The success of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which released last summer, saw the game eventually being ported to the Nintendo Switch, though there’s yet to be a confirmed announcement on whether or not this will be the case for the Spyro revamp as well.
