Respawn Entertainment is having a fantastic year so far. The launch of Apex Legends in early 2019 saw everyone swapping Fortnite for the new battle royale, and it seems Respawn isn’t showing any signs of stopping its winning streak.
Respawn has been hard at work on a new Star Wars game – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and the team finally (finally!) showed off the upcoming title’s first trailer.
Debuting a first glimpse of the game over the weekend, Respawn also confirmed the game has a release date of November 15, 2019.
Not too long to wait then!
Check out the trailer below.
Respawn’s description of the game reads as follows: “Cal Kestis—one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66—is now a Padawan on the run.
“Experience this all-new single-player Star Wars™ story from Respawn Entertainment and EA Star Wars on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season, 15 November 2019. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an action-adventure game set after Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith™.
“Develop your Force abilities, hone your lightsaber techniques, and explore the ancient mysteries of a long-lost civilization—all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.”
Fans are pretty hopefully for the title, which has faced criticism for its EA affiliations.
Despite Respawn boss Vince Zampella confirming Fallen Order is a single-player story game, has no multiplayer and no microtransactions, some fans are still concerned.
We’ll be seeing more of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order over the coming months, so hopefully we’ll find out more about its roadmap. Knowing EA, it might be likely to get some microtransactions thrown in somewhere down the line…
